District Loralai drives its name from Loralai stream a confluent of Anambar or Nari River. Loralai Town is situated in the north of
this river. The district head quarter was established in 1906. Loralai lies from 29 -54 to 30 -39 North Latitude and 67-44 to 69-40
East Longitude. It is bounded by Killa saifullah, Ziarat, Musa Khail Barakhan, Kohlu, Sibi, Ziarat and Pishin districts. Total area of
the district is 6830 KM.
Loralai District consists of three Tehsils namely Tehsil Bori, Tehsil Mekhter and Duki and 20 union councils 11 in Tehsil Bori and 9
in Duki Tehsil.
The topography of the district is dominated by the mountains and hills varying in elevation from about 3000 meters. The highest
mountains are in the north west along the border with Ziarat, Pishin ,and Killa Saifullah Districts.
